Big Messy Church

We saw an advert in the facebook group for Katie's youth group this morning advertising the Messy Church session for "the Big Church" in our town. I offered her the option of Postman Pat new movie (because I'd previously promised we could go) or Messy Church. She chose Messy Church.

She had fun at ballet first. She ran to tell her teacher she'd moved into bigger sized ballet shoes. We have had the first disapproving Mummy moment with her dance class. Her other teacher has decided Katie's class will be singing & dancing to Itsy Bitsy Bikini for the presentation. I am extremely unimpressed. Another mum and I were downstairs talking to the other teacher and she told us. We thought she was kidding at first. Turns out not. I am hoping they change their minds again - they were supposed to be doing Lollipop and would have been incredibly cute!!

After ballet we nipped to get some lunch before heading back on the train to Messy Church. She made a whole pile of things, which got put into a wee bag she'd decorated right at the start. One of the crafts she visited three times! Come drink time, she caused a little rebellion. Katie doesnt do juice. Just water or milk. Milk if she has the option. She saw a bottle of milk so asked for some. And suddenly all of the other kids there wanted milk not juice!
