"I hear you knocking ..... but you can't come in!"

Day 6

After the lovely weather yesterday it was a bit upsetting to get up & see the rain pouring down.

We heard a strange tapping noise ....... when we went out to look we saw this Cockchafer ...... also known as a May Bug ..... knocking at the door to get in out of the rain ....... it was trying to climb through the glass!!! Needless to say we didn't let it in!!! We did move him to shelter though!

It wasn't really the weather for a ramble in the countryside! So we decided to go into Skipton & have a look around. Good decision! We came across a Mountain Warehouse shop that was closing down ....... went in for a look & got a bargain! A super hiking jacket ...... reduced from £80 down to £25!!!! They even threw in a free pack of hiking socks worth £10! That's what I call a good deal!!!!

It was a bit rough over night ...... we had gale force winds ....... it sounded just like a freight train whizzing by!!! The caravan felt as if it was shaking ...... an interesting experience! Thankfully we survived!!! :-)
