MY MATE THE KINGFISHER....

.... after being in Sydney all day, got home mid afternoon and needed to pick up a "new toy" from the post office delivery, so while down there needed to stretch my legs, and headed down to the river at the Northern end after the weir.

Nothing much doing so took this of shot of the last of the winter afternoon sun! Just in case nothing else came as the light was fading fast.

Then noticed this little bird fling into a tree just below me!
On closer inspection it was another Azure Kingfisher!!!

Heart pumping snapped the shot as it took off behind a tree, and did not appear to follow on up the river? A quick move to the right to check around the tree and there it was on this stake of a tree.

Not the best of shots, as it was off just as quickly!

Have added a radial filter to try and make something a little different.
