Father's Day Continued...

John couldn't visit yesterday as he'd been invited out for dinner with old friends so he came up today instead and we extended Father's Day to allow for continued celebrations.

He arrived at 2pm and we spent the rest of the afternoon in the garden. I was so HAPPY to see some sunshine. It really makes all the difference. Dragged myself back indoors to get Alan's dinner organised then David arrived home sharp and proceeded to get the BBQ fired up.

By the time the food was ready the sun had disappeared and it was cloudy. Typical! Not complaining though well only a little bit as it was still lovely and warm and we sat outside eating beef burgers, lamb burgers and chicken kebabs, with a cool beer. Alan joined us too, which was really lovely as he usually likes to do his own thing.

Finished everything off with a mint magnum then back inside when the midges started to bite.

Will tackle the joys of cleaning the BBQ tomorrow.

PS Can't find my photos from yesterday. They're not on my camera card so I've either deleted them in error or uploaded them to my lap top, which appears to be gubbed at the moment. Hmph!
