The Hand of Travel

This week it's the inaugural IOSH Health & Safety show at Excel so busy times. As usual our exhibition stand is huge and very attractive with one slight twist this year. I say this year but the plan was to implement this twist some 4 years ago (I can raise this as I know my Marketing Director isn't on Blip...). We have a very innovative Marketing team and the 8ft x 6ft giant polystyrene hand above our stand highlights the fact. This is the first time we've been able to use it despite its creation back in 2009. It was designed, at great cost, for a show in Germany - it was painstakingly painted in the colours of a new glove we were launching a few years ago and was transported over to Central Europe, at great cost, ready to be shown off. Oh no no no. Due to fire regulations - at a health & safety show - it was rejected and shipped back to London, at great cost, very much against the will of a furious marketing team. Basically every show since it's been denied access... until Excel 2014 - HOORAY (and it hasn't fallen down yet).
