Humboldt penguin

The Humboldt penguin breeds on the Pacific Coast (Peru and Chile), and is named after the cold water Humboldt Current it swims in, itself named in turn after the explorer Alexander von Humboldt, who seemed to get everywhere. This one was in Dudley Zoo, a long way from home, and one of some 70 - the largest breeding colony in Europe.
