Where doors lead to dodgy meals

Not sure why I ended up here tonight, but as I was heading home from town, a spun past the old THC hotel (or the centra, or the holiday inn or the international, or what ever else you know it by), to take a picture of it with it's lights turned on.

Was more fascinated by these stairs, leading up to what smelt like a resturant, in the old Little Village at Whakarewarewa. When we were children this was a cool place to visit and go and have your photo taken in dress up clothes. We had our picture taken at a similair place at Huka Village in Taupo.

The building also used to house Aunty Mary's icecream parlour, which in it's day was the sister business to Lady Janes icecream parlour at the lakefront. Now that is showing my age.
