What on earth are you doing?
"I'm sorry"
"Whatcha doing?"
That question, when you are standing in the pouring rain (or kneeling as the case may be) up to your knees in meadow grass with a camera in hand, seemed somewhat silly. I would have thought it obvious!
"Errrrr...I'm taking macro shots of how beautiful the grass heads are in the rain".
"What's the torch for?"
"Oh...it's to light it up more so I get better light and shade!"
Mmmm...the rather plain gentleman didn't look inspired, his face seemed to crunch up and spiral into the centre around a truly disappointed looking mouth.
"Would you like to see?" I asked offering the camera screen to him...
His response made me jump and laugh....
"F**king hell mate! That's bloody lovely!" He burst out.
I watched as he went away, his face now alight and unfolding to the edges of his hair.
I lifted my face to the sky and let the lovely soft rain wash down like a baptism of some sort. I don't care what happens for the rest of the day.....that was a good start!
