Diary of an Edinburgher

Dog door!

Two chaps have spent an inordinate amount of time putting in a dog door flap thing. But it looks grand. Now I’ll be able to leave Archie inside but able to get out at will. That is, when he finally figures it out. He’s rather scared of it. And when his kibble is on one side, and he just sits there looking miserably puzzled on the other side - even after I've shoved him through several times - we have a problem, as he’ll just about leap up on the kitchen cabinets at the slightest mention of food.

We took an afternoon walk and it was HOT! We met a nice man we’d met at the bus stop the other day, and he recognised Archie. He put two and two together and realised it must be THE Archie, as he follows blip.

Today on the Meadows we met a nice lady and her wee dog, Dylan. Dylan was a chihuahua/Jack Russell cross, and so was Archie’s size. What a time they had, charging around. I even let go of Archie’s rope so that he could chase after Dylan, but he kept giving up and lying down with his legs splayed out the back. It was very hot.

I do hope we meet Dylan and his mum again, and indeed, Darcy from yesterday, as it’s great for Archie.

Apologies for my lack of interaction on blip - hope to be back to normal in the near future. I’ve been feeling very tired of late, and lots of aches, some new ones. I generally fall asleep in front of the tennis/football during the day. I’ve had x-rays, ECGs, and blood tests galore. More tests in the offing. None of them sound much fun.
