Poyntz Bridge
The Chichester Canal is proving to be a great source of blips as I rush out at lunchtime to take my photo of the day. The bright red paintwork against the snow and grey sky caught my eye. I also liked the way it contrasted against the wooden 5 bar gate in the background.
The Poyntz Bridge was built in 1820 and made by C+H Tickell of Southampton. I don't know much more than that - it obviously was one of the main bridges across the Canal.
