Peak 2 Peak
This morning we had a lay in. A very long one.
Once we finally got up and went into Whistler Village we each had a huge late breakfast. My pancakes with caramelised bananas were easily the winner.
Then it was time to do our Peak 2 Peak gondola ride. It turned out to be really amazing, even though we didn't know much about it. We took the gondola up to the very top of Whistler Mountain, now famous for being the location for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The views were jaw dropping, there was still snow AND we saw a chipmunk!
Then we caught the gondola over to Blackcomb Mountain (the actual Peak 2 Peak part). It was surreal, as it only has towers, one at the start and one at the finish, so the cable and therefore the gondola dip right down into the valley. The view was incredible and then I spotted 2 black bears (black specks) right below us strolling next to the river.
After more exploring and picture taking we gondola'd back into the Village to soak up some of it's atmosphere.
