Don't be Fooled

I nearly was! I was checking on my Buddleia which is almost in bloom and is the top favourite in this garden for attracting butterflies.

Then I saw this handsome caterpillar lurking on one of its stems. Googling proves it to be a Mullein Moth caterpillar - but it is considered a horticultural pest, capable of stripping a plant in a few hours!

Needless to say, I nipped straight back out and put it out in a 'safe' area where I hope the birds will do their job.

Sad today for the England football team. John Cleese once said, "I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand." Football fans will know what this means.
