Green Shield (Stamps?)

Do you remember Green Shield Stamps? They finally disappeared in 1991 after a long life since 1958. You got a stamp for every sixpence spent in participating shops (two and a half new pence in sterling) and had to collect lots, stuck in books provided, to exchange for gifts. I remember my mum with a bulging carrier bag full, which was exchanged for a coffee pot.

The point of mentioning Green Shield Stamps is that today's star is a Green Shield Bug, sunning itself on an almost open Buddleia flower.
