Flooding at Stratford-upon-Avon

When we arrived for a holiday at Stratford-upon-Avon we went down to the river and found the flooding was quite bad. A regatta that was due to take place had been cancelled due to the fast flowing and extremely high river. We were begged by some young people to buy some of the bread rolls that had been bought for the event at a knock-down price, so we did! It was a bit sad really, but they were making the best of a bad situation. I have a photo of my husband and son sitting under an umbrella eating ice cream - it was that sort of weather!
