Meeting Lee Hall

Tonight we went to the Live Theatre in Newcastle to hear a reading of The End of Time which is a new script by Lee Hall of Spoonface Steinberg and Billy Elliot fame. The cast read the script including all the directions.

The film will be about Olivier Messiaen and his Quartet for the End of Time. We are great fans of the music. Mum painted a wonderful abstract watercolour in response to hearing the music for the first time. I took the painting with us to show Lee so we had a little chat.

Outside on the Quayside I had a blip opportunity. This is the Sage, our wonderful concert hall on the Gateshead side of the Tyne. I think it looks like 3 ocean liners. You can see how light it was at about 1030pm.
