Freedom

It is almost the longest day. Every summer a group of us go over to France for the day for a cycle ride. We usually ride down to Boulogne from Calais along the coast road for lunch. Then after a leisurely moules frites in the old town we return on gorgeous inland lanes to catch the evening ferry at Calais. A very enjoyable 70 mile trip.

En route we make a point of calling in to this war graves cemetery to pay our respects. They gave their lives so that we can enjoy such freedoms.

We wont forget.
