Classic cars
A cloudy day with some sun and rain. Called in at Sainsburys for some shopping and came across this gathering of classic TVR sports cars from around 1989-91.
I got chatting to one of the men who told me they were a group of folk from a TVR enthusiast Club and they were getting ready to go on a 600 mile tour of Scotland over the weekend. They were going to travel to Aberdeen-Inverness-Ullapool and down the west coast home. Actually, this was something of the reverse trip to that which we had taken a couple of weeks ago.
I had always loved the looks of the TVR 'back in the day' and it was lovely to see this collection of beautifully preserved and polished British sports cars. In fact, we got caught up in their motorcade as they and we travelled to Arbroath and it was a real thrill to be driving amongst them on this lovely stretch of road for 20 minutes or so. I only hoped that the weather stayed fair for them so that they could enjoy the glory of the Scottish countryside in their open topped cars.
Happy motoring, lads and lasses.
