Going to the souk

We've had a busy Saturday. Swimming, Taekwondo, a trip to a Midsummer Market (with free ice cream - thank you Beyond the Finish Line/Firstport!) and finally a trip to the Southside Souk in Pollok Park.

The souk is part of Scottish Refugee Week but will apparently happen every month from now on. The Habibi Kitchen is fantastic. They make the most amazing wraps filled with all sorts of wonderful stuff - falafel (cooked right in front of you), honeyed carrot, some sort of sesame salad, hummus, a strange but lovely gooey cheese, gherkins and pickled turnip. It was lurvely!

The blip shows the boys wandering down the path towards the souk. Towards arts & crafts stalls, world music, gorgeous food and a barn with ridiculous amounts of kids books for 10p each. I was excited about all of it. They were excited about getting old Top Gear and Doctor Who albums. Each to their own.
