Jane Has Arrived!

Late last night Jane arrived, having driven from Quebec City....over 12 hours on the road! After a good nights sleep, her and i headed over to her new home to start getting her a bit settled in! Moving homes is huge, and moving 3 provinces away from all family and lots of friends, is really huge!

First obstacle....we couldn't figure out how to turn the water on! After some exploring and deliberations we decided to call Terry for advice! Second obstacle....no cell phone service in her area! After driving out onto the main road, we got service and made some calls! Well talk about being out of the city! first person we called.....he wasn't there cos he was out fishing! the second guy was out back with the chain saw.....but each time Jane got this information another name and phone # was given to her! by the time we called the 3rd guy .....he was there but wasn't able to help at the moment, but he started to give Jane another guy's name and #....well poor woman, exhausted and feeling a bit strung out, lost it! luckily it was with laughter and not tears, coulda gone either way at this point ! finally, we returned to the cabin and decided to just get things unpacked, put her new bed together and come back here for dinner - and water!

We're both a bit tired, but now we have all that we need....wine, food, water and the promise of dinner!

It's been an interesting day, but mostly pretty happy......and i'm thrilled to her close by....finally we're neighbors again!!!
