Happiness is....

being in my little office/studio space, door closed....watching a video of a pastel artists, and following along! i find this is such a good way to learn - other than being in an actual class which just isn't available to me! First i did a little value study, in 4 values of grey, then added local colour to get a sense of where the cool and warm colours should be....and now i have the water colour underpainting done and am applying the pastels. i love this!

Update on Jane's situation: she arrived this morning to cook herself some breakfast cos she still couldn't get the gas stove to work!!! I just returned from Baddeck after picking up our new WWOOFer.....Maude from Montreal - who seems absolutely lovely......and heard that she managed to not only get her stove working but she also got the water on!!!! Way to Go Jane! she was so pissed off at not being able to figure these things out in her new home!!! So, she's all set!
