face the wheel

The canal has many bridges, but these two are probably my favourites. Lofty, leafy, and near the nice big long drippy tunnel. It's been a while since I've been beyond Winchburgh, where I bailed to the roads a couple of years ago when the bumping got too irritating. A few of the worst bits have been re-coated with whindust but there are still plenty of depressing sections between the bypass and Falkirk, so I came back from Linlithgow by road, which at least gave me a few more aha-so-that's-where-that-comes-out linkages to use in the future.
