Frog aid

A very busy day balancing long standing family commitments, routine Saturday business, and other activities.

One this afternoon involved helping out at our church with a garden tea party to raise funds for Christian Aid. Apart from providing an opportunity to air posh hats, it also included a cake competition with donated prizes for children and adults.

There were some magnificent cakes and cupcakes on display but I liked this home made bug-eyed frog with its lily pads. The cakes were auctioned too so we'll find out tomorrow what was raised.

It felt a bit unsettling seeing aprons with messages about hunger in the world while we enjoyed tea and good food.
