ODD LITTLE FELLOW

I’ve never seen a cricket quite like this one. With its solid green coloring, it seems to resemble a Katydid (or Bush Cricket), except that a Katydid’s camouflage is to look like a leaf, which is definitely not the case with this one. This cricket seems very fragile without the usual armor patterning of a typical cricket or grasshopper. It is less than 1 inch long and was walking on wood chips in the garden.
