Alone again............naturally

Well not really as my walking companion, Ross, is in the right hand tent. Had hoped to capture sunrise on the summer solstice but it wasn't to be. Cloud rolled in just after midnight and resolutely hugged the mountainside until this brief opportunity for a shot presented itself, just before 6 am.

The fog/cloud continued to roll in across us until we broke camp at 8 am. There were odd moments of clear views and I also witnessed a very brief brocken spectre and wished I had captured a better image.

More than anything I hope this image captures the sheer wonder of a wild camp. Forget about the broken sleep, cold, damp, etc. To experience nature like this is awe inspiring and humbling.
