Working indoors

Now the vegetable garden is in some sort of order and as it has got stinking hot, we have moved inside to work on the house. Sam and myself have started on a new floor in one of our rooms but Tricia is back to her speciality - pointing.
This is our fireplace with the bread oven to one side. A dark corner of the house that always looked shabby. When finished it should now look cleaner - still a fair bit to do.
We did take the morning off to go to Les Vans market but sadly the second purpose for our visit to the valley to buy some wood for the floor was hampered by the Builders' Merchant being closed for stock take. And knowing the vagaries of French opening times I had gone as far as checking the times on the internet. Saves Sam and myself a job for a bit.
