A Bridge too Far...

...or just infinity.

Continuing my sporadic Sunday theme of bridges over the Tees, this is the Infinity Bridge near Stockton on Tees.

It is named the Infinity Bridge because the reflection of its distinctive curve in the water forms the mathematical symbol for infinity.

You can see a photo of the whole bridge here.

It looks particularly spectacular at night when its structure is illuminated by coloured lamps.

Opened in May 2009, it took 18 months to complete.
