Beady eye
Today was almost an exact repeat of yesterday, which is a very good thing.
Another inauspicious start though, with a nasty tummy ache and being violently sick in the middle of the night Yuk! Still I was fine afterwards and slept well.
After reading in church, I went to meet B at 11am in Stony Costa for an iced latte and a catch up. It was another beautiful day and I felt the tug of the sun lounger and garden pulling me home...
I spent a wonderfully relaxed and lazy afternoon out on the lawn under the birch tree with the radio and camera again, listening to TMS and the birds. Next door the primary school held their annual fete so it was noisy and I had to chuck a ball back over at one point but that only added to the summery feel. It got up to 30C in the sun, which was a bonus...
I managed to spot this fledgling blackbird who'd been encouraged out of the nest and told to stay put on a branch of the ivy by mum for an hour or so. I got quite a few shots, using the manual focus (for the first time) and some shots were more obvious but I like this cheeky one with its beady eye and the pretty colours in the foreground best.
I've come in to catch the aftermath of the Archers shocker and will continue the relaxed mood for this evening in readiness for the onslaught of work tomorrow.
I haven't been this happy for a long time...
