Mmm... can I smell food up there?
Myki checking out the new barbecue which I bought (at speed) today and which Alex assembled (with a little help from me).
This morning, Fred discovered that the old barbecue (rudely abandoned in the garden under a flimsy cover since last year) was a crumbling mass of rust and dead snails...
As he had especially bought lovely barbecue nosh yesterday (whilst I was out having fun), I felt obliged to dash to Argos at the 11th hour to save the day the lunch!
Throughout most of this mini drama, Fred determinedly carried on with work that had to be done for tomorrow...
That is in fact the old barbecue in the background - I feel a dump run coming up next week-end.
Other exciting domestic news was that Myki proudly carried in a magpie and dropped it at our feet whilst we were watching TV in the early evening. The poor thing was alive but had one damaged wing so couldn't fly. It escaped behind a sofa making a very loud noise. We had to chase it through the house and out. Yet again Myki must think we are either stupid or very ungrateful for his generous gifts!
