Midnight Train

On the night of the Summer Solstice the Steam Railway ran their Midsummer's Night Steam event with trains running in gathering darkness until the early hours of the morning.

The dusk and darkness gave the passengers who had also enjoyed a carvery dinner in the station restaurant a new experience on the railway with the carriages and stations illuminated for the occasion.

After getting up at 5AM to see the Round the Island Race followed by this event I finally fell into bed about 2AM. A tiring but enjoyable day.
