at home with an Ivysaurus

Granny Grant ladder

Ivy is very good at climbing people- she uses there own arms (put up to catch her incase she falls) to maneuver herself up. This was her having her nappy changed before toddlers- but deciding she wanted to go explore the sofa table instead. (our sofa table is an Ikea lack shelf I added legs too- it's amazing, such a handy place to be able to put things. Way better than a coffee table in my opinion)

Went to rhyme time this morning- we were on time for a change because Granny Grant sensibly got Ivy out of bed when she first woke up, when I normally sleepily ignore her till she nods back off till 10... Ayesha gave Ivy a tambourine that was thrilled with- in the evening she was hiting her musical desk bells with it.

Whilst Ivy had her morning nap I planted out some leeks, properly by trimming their roots and dropping them into deep holes. When I say some- I mean 60, I figure even if they don't grow very well 5 small leeks = 1 big leek.

Lunch was carrot and coriander soup- that Ivy clearly enjoyed. She had one spoonfull and went 'ahhhh'.

Gaelic toddlers in the afternoon, Ivy didn't want to sit still for songs. I hope she grows out of this soon- I love singing with her on my knee. During snack time, ajug of water got upset and a puddle of water was seeping towards Ivy, but another mum swooped in and rescued Ivy from teh floor before she got wet. I think it could have been a Hollywood- 'oh you saved my baby' moment.

Ivy wouldn't take an afternoon nap (despite being tired enough to fall asleep whilst nursing again), so we took her out for a walk in the wrap. Her nose is running- we're just over a horrible cold, hope this one isn't too bad.
