Mono Monday # 17 ....... Still Life ....

............... after covering 7225 airmiles in less than 30 hours we know that there's still life in the old dogs yet!!!!

We eventually made it to Hawaii - a 62 year old and her much-loved Mum - with BlipBear and Kiwi in tow - who were desperate to pose and promised to pretend they had no life and would be still - they are convinced this would qualify for today (especially as they sat on a lovely - and still - little cabinet in our rental condominium).

If you have looked at yesterday's blip you would have seen that we started with "issues" - the issues continue and multiply ..... and my frustration and annoyance and disappoinment grow by the minute.

Our bags have now been "misplaced" (both of them) - their last known wherabouts were at 12.50pm in London Heathrow on Sunday ...... since then they have not been scanned in or out of anywhere and no-one can give us any info on their location.

The upshot is we are now in a beautiful condo near Waikiki Beach with nothing to wear, no toiletries, no nothing.
United Airlines (so generous) have allowed us $100 (£60) each to buy what we need ....... that is to cover clothing, underwear, toiletries, etc etc ..... so far I have something to sleep in (yellow for Sefferdog - lol), two t-shirts, two pairs of shorts, basic underwear and very basic toiletries, Mum has sleepwear, two blouses, basic underwear and very basic toiletries .... no skirt or trousers yet ..... and we have used up $140 - even Walmart is expensive here ...... we have 15 days of our trip left ...... not sure we can make that "basic" manage for that long!!!!

If anyone out there has any 'pull' with United Airlines or works in London Heathrow Terminal 2 .............. HELP!!!!!

This is a very poor monomonday entry (and effort) and I'm sorry but it's been a very fraught day all in all ........ Mum is really tired and will backblip ..... right now it's 03.30 Tuesday, Hawaii time.

Positives .............. the condo is fabulous and the view is wonderful.
The weather is warm and the beer is cold and we have our usual Mustang Convertible (red) - who cares about missing underwear! (ME!!!!!!!!!!).

To Ron (Oregon) and Evelyne (Nevada and Oregon) - unless our luggage finds us on our trip somewhere - I'm afraid we will be in our new "basics" when we have our blipmeet........ :-)) - I apologise in advance.
