Birds On A Wire
Evening in Bray again. I was there to visit Fiachra, and again I swung down to the beach to see what was happening, but turned right towards Bray harbour. It was the sight of all those people, heat-soaked and basking, arranged like birds on a wire, notes on a scale, a lovely palette of tones, that had me jumping out of my car and striding up the other wall, to see if I could get close enough. I took several shots but the closer I got the more angular the opposite wall became, and the effect I wanted was lost. So I settled for this, a tiny detail of a larger shot, blown up in Lightroom. On the way back to the car I noticed the huge hogweed, standing tall as triffids near the DART line.
