Dirty, filthy, sandy baby

It was seriously hot walking to the pools today, but it had to be done. We had to get out and burn off some energy, let off some steam. Maple is pictured showering after basically throwing sand over her own head and rolling her little body in it too...

Believe me, it feels so good to get into the chilled pool. I position myself on a step somewhere in the middle of the trio. The difference between watching out for two children and three is remarkable. It is manageable to move your head from side to side, but with three, things can also happen behind your back...

Now that Oscar is chief Maple rescuer, things are a little bit easier. He takes pride in his role of going to get Maple and makes sure he brings her back gently (i.e. not dragging along the concrete....)

Bailee has been diving for shells underwater today. Her swimming development is striking! I love the happy look on her face when she knows she has pushed herself out of her comfort zone and succeeded. My little risk taker :-)
