a special day

Today my sister and family came up to Scotland and I joined them in Edinburgh to attend the degree ceremony for my niece who had obtained her Honours degree from the Open University. The service was really enjoyable and it was inspiring to see so many folk of all ages and physical abilities going up to collect their degrees. It made me realise just how special the OU is enabling people to continue their education or indeed to explore entire new areas of research and personal development.
