Raindrops on my head..

We have had an amazing ten days completely free of rain and so the light sprinkling we had today was very welcome to the many gardens and wild meadows. Not thinking I went for my walk in my usual summer walking gear and my trousers got completely soaked as I walked through knee high grasses beautifully bedecked with raindrops. The foxgloves are looking splendid just now as they start to emerge, sitting boldly upright amongst their opposite in the colour wheel, the glorious yellow buttercup. I loved the sight of them today as they glistened with the drops of soft rain.
