Krameramtsstuben (Grocers' Apartments)
This evening, T and I took a trip into the 17th century. We had dinner in an old historic courtyard (felt more like a narrow alley way!) called the Krameramtsstuben. These houses were provided by the Grocers' Guild to members' widows. As we ate (not one of our best meals here unfortunately), we could hear the bells from St. Michaelis' Church ringing ... sounds that we can also hear from our apartment here in the Neustadt district of Hamburg.
