Young Woodpecker

I had to take this through the window as I know the minute he / she senses movement it is off.
I had a new bird this morning, a starling. I know they are common in towns but I have never seen one here before.
The young blackbirds were all here too so my mug of seed etc. that I put out every morning was gone in 10 minutes.
Today the weather is dull and cloudy so I intend to do some serious housework.! I often have this intention but am easily distracted so it rarely gets done. There is more to life than housework!
