An Gearanach
Headed for Glen Nevis today to find extensive cloud cover everywhere. After a bit of dithering about wondering "Will we, won't we?" we decided to go for it. I had a number of "why do I do this?" moments on the way up in the cloud and the rain, but we made it to the summit and got a few glimpses of the surrounding hills as the cloud swirled about.
My blip is the view from the summit of An Gearanach, looking along the next part of the Ring of Steall ridge. We didn't go any further along the ridge ... a tad too scary in the mist! However as we made our way back down, the weather improved and it turned into a lovely evening, with Ben Nevis, the Aonachs and the Grey Corries all emerging from their hiding place in the clouds.
