Rodents rule

Squirrelling through the photos

Jetlag has really hit today. I'm wide awake, it's midnight and I'm starving. I must go to bed, but not before I've eaten a sausage sandwich.

This has been my first freelance day back at the desk and I've had fun getting stuck into words again. It's been a full day of human body and insects (though not together). Talking of insects, my mozzie bites from Banff have turned a bright purple. It's an alarming colour, but at least they're not itchy anymore.

I've spent part of the evening going through Day 2 of the photographs. It was a particularly fine day for rodents: American red squirrel, least chipmunk and five golden-mantled ground squirrels. They could almost make me emigrate.
