EF'ing life

Gah!

Not the day we were anticipating. I had planned for all of us, the Husband included, to be in bed by 8 to make up for the awful night yesterday. This was foiled.

The school called to say they were concerned about F1's breathing so to be safe I made a doctors appointment before I collected him at the usual time (the school was not alarmed enough to send him home early). When I arrived it was clear that he was poorly, but I thought just a bad cold with a cough.

Went to the doctors at 4.30 and he immediately went into efficient mode checking everything, writing stuff down and asking for a second opinion. I thought he was being silly. Then he said that he was referring F1 to paediatrics at A&E. I had to walk home, get F1 and E in the car, collect F2 and head straight over. Fortunately the Husband met us ether and I took F2 and E home for late tea and bed.

Poor old F1 was not home until 11.45 with an inhaler, mega antibiotics (in case it's pneumonia) and lots of stickers from each prod and poke and chest X-ray he had! We feel guilty for sending him to school!
