Macro: Bug on Feverfew
Had a little session with the macro lens this afternoon & spotted this tiny miniscule bug on the feverfew. There wasn't just one, there were lots of them, bear in mind that they are only just over 2 millimetres in length, whilst the Feverfew flower is approximately 2 centimetres across. I have tried to find out what the bug is and the nearest I have come up with is The Varied Carpet Beetle. Yes they live on pollen & nectar during this time of the year then lay their eggs in any kind of textile, which can be carpets or curtains. The resulting Pupae turns into something that is called "The Woolley Bear " which I have heard of & seen once or twice.
Press L to see it in Sci-Fi monster size....well, quite big anyway !
Incidentally it is National Insect Week this week Look Here !
Easy day today; went to the bank & then Budgen's to get beer !! Then home for lunch. Finished levelling the cooker which needed some feet, to bring it up to worktop level. A bit of tidying & maybe mow the lawn later.
Not quite so hot today, but very pleasant with a cooling breeze.
