Hughenden Manor, Hughenden, Buckinghamshire
Whew - what a busy day.
Left home at just after 10 to visit the Nuffield hospital (NOC) in Oxford to deliver a pair of my shoes to be adapted. Left here & got on the M40 straight through to High Wycombe then on to Hughenden for lunch time. A quick bite to eat here and then a tour of the house where Benjamin Disraeli lived. A whistle stop tour of the garden before leaving here to visit Daph. Stayed here an hour & then on to the supermarket for some essentials, then home for a beer & some dinner.
The extra shots today show a picture of the Dining Room where " I liked the light" & also a picture of one of the NT wardens who having answered my 2 questions proceeded to chat up Carol...the scoundrel ! In fact I challenged him to a duel asking which he would prefer swords or pistols.... ...!
We always manage to meet a "character" when we go out & he was definitely one of them ! He told us his name but I confess that I can't remember what he said...
A fine sunny day though when we got home it had started to rain
