Cucumber Green Orb Spider (female)

In between proof reading, amending and writing content for the Association of British Climbing Walls new website  I've taken to wondering around the garden to try and clear my head. In this spell of fantastic weather the garden Office has been a wonderful place to work (although to be honest I do also like the sound of the rain drumming on the roof - which is handy when you live in Cumbria).

Sat trying to work out what's made the fruit trees so unhappy this year I caught sight of a little speck of green inching along a leaf - Araniella cucurbitina (poss. A. opistographa).

So a nice diversion, but now back to staring at the damned computer screen...
