Smiths Beach on a winters day is

just the most perfect place to be.

I adore being "down south" at this time of year. The ocean is so wild and beautiful, the bush is green and shining with dampness and it is a requirement to have a wood fire and a red wine or two.

We have seen the two littlest grand people, played chasey, explored the bush for interesting things and had ice cream - perfect :)

They are having a sleep over tomorrow - all 4 of them plus the dog........
