And speaking of crime, today I will be delving into the dark Victorian underworld as reported in The Illustrated Police News.....it seems there's no less than 1587 issues (dated between 1867 and 1900) available at The British Newspaper Archive....you know I'm definitely getting value-for-money out of that months subscription, it has to be the most entertaining 10 quid I've ever spent;-)
