Blustery Beach
After last night's fantastic surprise, hubby headed off to work a little jaded.
He finished at lunchtime and we drove the hour and a half to the beach. We are spending the weekend here, with Cousteau, of course, to give hubby a much needed break and me a beach fix.
We arrived at our accommodation only to find that there is no beach here. The tide has completely covered it (and is apparently still at low tide); when it is high tide, it gives the road a bit of a wash.
It was very blowy as I stood to take some pics.
Still, the little unit is cosy and warm and Cousteau has already blobbed out on his blankets.
Tomorrow we will go in search of a beach we can run on. It's supposed to rain all weekend, but that's never stopped us in NZ, so why should it curtail our fun in Oz?
We'll have to show Mr Barking how we do it in the Land of the Long White Cloud!
Off to find some food in this deserted seaside town!
Night all.
