Happy as a pig in muck
We arrived at our accommodation towards dusk last night and settled in. This morning, looking out of the window and seeing that the forecast rain had not yet arrived, we hastened to get out to the beach for a good walk.
We went to look for the Visitors' Info joint to find out where best to take Cousteau and couldn't find it; so we went to a vets' instead. Of course, they were able to tell us where to go and we found a great little beach (I say 'little' because the tide was so high that there wasn't much beach left!) I had my gumboots on, but Mr Barking kept having to leap up the fence to avoid soggy tootsies.
Cousteau had a ball.
We went to get a coffee and some lunch and then found a second beach where we had another lovely stroll. Here's another one.
One more off lead opportunity for Cousteau after watching the sea pounding the sea wall in Queenscliffe. We found a sheltered spot for our third walk of the day.
Before we tucked in for the evening, I let Mr Barking snooze on the sofa while Cousteau and I went to investigate what was at the end of our road. The ocean and no beach was the main answer. However, we spotted some other dog walkers and followed them to a spot where Cousteau was again able to be let off lead.
Four off-lead beach blasts and a warm comfy blankety bed means that our Cousteau is one happy pooch tonight.
And that makes us pretty happy too.
Night all.
