Valley of the Temples

This is the Ancient Greek temple of Juno, part of the Valley of the Temples site in Agrigento. It's less complete but more romantic than the temple of Castor & Pollux, and the view of the coast behind it is captivating. It's a good two hours drive from where we're staying (two hours of P driving that is: high speed and lots of tense overtaking) so the journey plus walking around the temples in baking heat made it a tiring day.

We were revived this evening by an outstanding gastronomic experience at a restaurant called Duomo in Ragusa - it certainly earned its Michelin rating. I really like Ragusa, it's my favourite Sicilian town: it has beauty, grit and character in spades. If I was to live anywhere in Sicily it would be there.
