incidental music

To a half empty Theatre Royal for a performance of the great 1960's play 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf' - always a great excuse for the actors to start chewing the scenery. Claire Higgins was magnificent as the female half of the ultimate dysfunctional marriage, and Tim Piggott-Smith was quieter, more controlled as her husband - nothing like Richard Burton in the film, but more convincing I think. The younger couple were fantastic too - Iris Roberts was terribly moving in a role that is often used for the other actors to bounce off.

It was terrific.
