After-school activities
The Hague's western boundary is the coast, and as a result, there are lovely sandy beaches that run the length of the city so you are never far from the sands. I am trying to explore all of them!
The advantage of having beaches so close is that you can pick your kids up from school and say, in an impromptu fashion, "shall we go to the beach"? So this is what Amber, Grace and I did on Friday, as Robyn had gone off to a friend's birthday party. The girls had an ice cream and I had a coffee (at one of the fab pop up restaurants you find there too). Don't feel it was perfect though - the water was so cold that Grace (in her underwear) went a livid shade of bright pink and came out in a bit of a rash!
(It's a hard life too - we're off to another party today at another beach cafe).
